Chef Matthew Borchardt brings years of experience to his new role as the Director of L’Ecole Academy for Culinary Development.
As a native of St. Louis, Chef Borchardt honed his unique style in local eateries like Two Nice Guys and Café Provencal. Chef Borchardt later worked as a Sous Chef at a four-star rated restaurant in Myrtle Beach, SC. Upon returning to St. Louis, Chef Matt also contributed to Café Napoli, Big Sky Café and Tony’s across the spectrum of restaurant and hospitality operations. In 2001, Chef Borchardt earned the Executive Chef title while with Frazer’s Restaurant and Lounge.
With his love for Culinary Arts Chef Matt followed his heart to L’Ecole Culinaire joining the faculty in 2006 and rising to Associate Culinary Program Director in 2008. Always eager to advance the Culinary Arts Chef Borchardt accepted the challenge to become the L’Ecole Academy Director in 2011.
